This product is hand made using natural materials ensuring each piece is distinctively different and possesses unique characteristics.
Small variations or imperfections in colour, design, size and finish may occur from piece to piece. Products made from rattan may present tonal variations within the fibre which are not considered faults. Cracking, splitting, natural defects or leaching of natural oils may be present in natural timbers and are not considered faults.
Rattan may be used outdoors for undercover areas, but it is best to avoid direct sunlight or exposure to the elements. Sunlight over time will dry out and discolour your cane furniture and lead to tears and breakage.
To keep your rattan looking fresh, use a damp cloth to wipe it down regularly. To restore dry, cracked, or split rattan, apply linseed oil with a brush then wipe it clean with a soft cloth. Allow it to dry before use. Although rattan may be used outdoors for undercover areas, it is best not to leave it in the sun or otherwise exposed to the elements.
