Shipping 

Shipping to your door is additional to the item cost and is payable separately. We ask that you seek a shipping quote and payment options prior to purchase (unless collecting from our warehouse). Goods will be dispatched when shipping has been finalised.

To avoid passing on multiple shipping charges, we hold all in-stock items in our warehouse until any items ordered have arrived, and ship the last item arrives, so everything is shipped together. If you prefer for stocked items to be shipped separately, please contact us and we can discuss delivery costs as extra charges may apply.

We advise when your items have been collected and, where possible, tracking information and expected delivery details.

Please be aware that B2B quotes will only apply where delivery can be made to a commercially-zoned operating business. A residential address with an ABN is not considered a commercial address, and any additional charges may be passed on to hyour.

Shipping quotes from our freight partners are valid for 14 days.

Delivery information

Delivery to your door is by a mixture of providers, some of whom are couriers and some may be transport and haulage companies. We always endeavor to get items to you at the best price but taking safety of your cargo into account. At Haus of Rattan we don’t always accept the lowest transport quote, consider the supplier’s track record and capacity to meet our needs and yours.

Our prices to you reflect quotes from our freight partners (with no mark-up); they are based on distance, weight and package/box volume. In some instances, we can arrange freight to a carrier’s depot for your collection, which can substantially lower the cost. For in-stock items, please allow 5-7 working days for the process of picking and packing your order. For pre-order items, refer below.

Ideally you should ideally be at home for delivery, or have given us clear instructions where to leave the item at your house safely and under cover. Additionally, we need to be advised of stairs or parking restrictions at your property.

Pre-order items

Our rattan, seagrass and teak products are handmade in Indonesia to strict quality standards. Each piece has been carefully chosen.

When placing a pre-order with us you are committing to the order. Your payment is used to keep the crafting businesses in Indonesia operating and to provide small communities with regular work. We believe strongly we can all benefit from sustainable, ethical business practices and international co-operation.

Our prices reflect our wish to provide you with an individual piece that is affordable, durable, stylish, eco-friendly and produced without exploiting a local workforce. Should you need to cancel your order, please talk with us and visit our cancellation policy.

We stive to provide realistic manufacturing and delivery timeframes. Delays can occur for a variety of reasons outside our control. We will do our best to keep you informed and ask for your patience to deliver our beautiful handmade items.

• Pre-order items – delivery time can be up to 4 months from order, or longer under extreme circumstances (i.e. weather or health events in the country of origin, container availability, shipping delays, industrial action).
• Typically, a full order (20’/40′ container) takes 5-8 weeks of production, inspection, packing and loading, followed by  3 weeks of shipping to Brisbane, unloading and customs clearance. Containers then arrive at our warehouse in around 4 business days, where goods are checked and dispatched.
• Expected container arrival dates are based on information available at the time, and are not a certainty.
• In the event that shipping costs have substantially changed (up or down) from order to dispatch, we will contact you.

We reserve the right to decline delivery to places outside the normal courier/freight network as prices can be prohibitive to you and/or risk damage to the item(s).
