Pre-orders 

Any pre-order lead times quoted on this site are approximate dates; we are not responsible for any delays which are out of our hands.

If you wish to cancel your order, please visit our cancellation policy.

Deliveries

To avoid multiple shipping charges with couriers, we hold all items in our warehouse until the last item arrives back in stock and everything will be shipped together. If you prefer for stocked items to be shipped separately, please contact us and we can discuss delivery costs as extra charges will apply.

If all items are in stock, we will not usually make contact prior to dispatch.

B2B quotes apply only on delivery to a commercially-zoned operating business.  If your delivery address is a residential address with an ABN, this is still zoned as residential and a B2B quote will not apply.

Shipping quotes are valid for 7 days.

 Shipping and delivery information

Delivery to your door is by a mixture of providers, some of whom are couriers and some may be transport and haulage companies. We always endeavor to get items to you at the best price but taking safety of your cargo into account. ]At Haus of Rattan we don’t always accept the lowest transport quote, consider the supplier’s track record and capacity to meet our needs.

Our prices to you reflect quotes from service providers (with no mark-up); they are based on distance, weight and package/box volume. In some instances, we offer delivery services to the carrier’s depot for your collection, which can substantially lower the cost.

Ideally you should ideally be at home for delivery, or have given us clear instructions where to leave the item at your house safely and under cover. Additionally, we should be advised of stairs or parking restrictions at your property.

Pre-order items

    • Our rattan, seagrass and teak products are handmade in Indonesia to strict quality standards. We have chosen each piece with care and pride.
    • For items that are not in stock the delivery time can be from 3-4 months from acceptance of your order, or longer under extreme circumstances (i.e. weather or health events in the country of origin, container availability, shipping delays, industrial action). Typically, a full order (20 or 40 foot container) takes 5-8  weeks of production, preparation of load and loading, 3 weeks of shipping to Brisbane, unloading and customs clearance and then transport to our warehouse, where we check and dispatch the goods. Customers are kept informed.
    • Please note that expected container arrival dates provided are based on information available at the time, and cannot be guaranteed.

We trust you will love and enjoy our pieces, and endeavour to provide realistic information on manufacturing and delivery timeframes. It is not uncommon for mass produced furniture orders to take extended delivery time – and we ask for your patience to deliver your order of individually handmade items to a high standard.

Please note – when placing a pre-order with us you are committing to the order. Your payment is used to keep the crafting businesses in Indonesia ioerating and to provide small communities with regular work. We believe strongly we can all benefit from sustainable, ethical business practices and international co-operation.

Our prices reflect our wish to provide you with an individual piece that is affordable, durable, stylish, eco-friendly and produced without exploiting a local workforce.

  • In the event that incorrect shipping costs have been selected by you and require an additional freight cost, we will be in touch with you.
  • Shipping overseas can be arranged, please contact us to discuss.
  • We reserve the right to decline delivery to places outside the normal courier network as prices can be prohibitive to you and/or risk damage to the item(s).
  • Stock orders: please allow 7-10 working days for the process of picking and packing your order.
